Bala Perdida (Stray Bullet , Victor Lopes, Brazil, 2003) Synopsis:Another hot day in a bustling square in Rio de Janeiro, crowds of people go about their daily lives. Love blossoms, a blind man sings and old men argue over a game of cards, until a woman is robbed at gun point. Chased by the police, the thief takes drastic action and a gun fight breaks out. We follow the bullets and the people who cross their path and discover the consequences of this tragic scene. The film features an award winning cast, including Alexandre Rodrigues (Rocket, City of God) and Vinícius de Oliveira (Josué, Central Station) as well as a number of well know actors from the Brazilian film and TV industry.
